"Twin Flames" is the brand new single from Ingunn Holmen & Mark Steiner featuring Pavel Cingl.
The follow-up to the June single "Black Hole" (Nebula version), “Twin Flames” is a scaled-down reinterpretation of the full-band version "Hang On" by Mark Steiner & His Problems, one of the tracks on their upcoming album "Black Hole”.
The lyrics to “Twin Flames” are about personal discovery, dreams, defeat, rebuilding and hope.
Vocalists Ingunn Holmen and Mark Steiner first crossed paths during the corona pandemic, and have since then established this new musical project.
Ingunn and Mark have so far performed "Twin Flames" live in Reykjavik, New York, Berlin, Athens and Oslo, the latter three places together with Czech violinist Pavel Cingl (ex-Snake Eaters, ex-Phil Shoenfelt & Southern Cross, Lorraine Leckie & Her Demons). Pavel has performed the song both live and on this recording, and has helped lift the singles "Black Hole" and "Twin Flames" to new heights.

TWIN FLAMES
(aka HANG ON)
Lyrics by Mark Steiner
Did you see my fire as we were going down
Felt like we were flying ‘til we hit the ground
I could see your fire, recognized your flame
And I could feel your heat - you could feel my shame
‘Cause I’ve been waiting for reasons
For too long, for so long
And you’ve been waiting for reasons
Of your own, for too long, so long
Stepped into my car so I let you drive
With you behind the wheel we both felt so alive
We sped off into the dark dancing soul to soul
Destination unknown until we lost control
Well you’ve been waiting for reasons For too long, for so long
And I’ve been waiting for reasons Of my own, for too long
Hang on tight now, hold on tight to me
Hang on tight now - Let’s hit the stars
We both survived the crash and we made our amends
Let’s leave that wreck behind and hit the road again
Keep your fire burning - we can drive your car
Well hang on tight now - let’s hit the stars
I’ve been waiting for reasons
For too long, for so long, for too long
You’ve been waiting for reasons
For so long, for too long, for so long
Hang on tight now, hold on tight now to me
Hang on tight now - We’re both on fire
Hang on tight now, hold on tight now to me
Hang on tight now - Let’s hit the stars
Mark Steiner is a well-known figure in Oslo’s music underworld, and he’s been around in Norway for so long that many assume
that he is Norwegian. He is not. This ex-New Yorker is a wandering scoundrel who one might find hanging out in the shadowy corners of a pub at closing time. A international musical vagrant who might walk the streets with Stuart Staples, Nick Cave, and Rowland S. Howard......more
